FUNDRAISER 2021 UPDATE

HELP for Haiti had our first fundraiser on June 26, 2021. We had a massive indoor yard sale and it was held in a school auditorium in our hometown (Waterville, Maine). It was a great success, mainly because so many people volunteered their time and energy. Dozens of people gave donated items and cash donations. One of our volunteers donated 30+ T-shirts with our Logo on them for all of our volunteers to wear on the day of the sale. We had over 30 volunteers and some even traveled from out of state to come and help us. We had 40 tables loaded with items for sale, all organized by category. We had a wonderful bake sale and several people baked homemade goodies for us to sell. We had a raffle table with at least a dozen items that were donated. We sold 50/50 tickets. We had a hotdog stand outside. We sold art and a variety of other items. There was something for everyone and we really had a wonderful time. We raised over $7000, which is enough money to put 2 students in college for 4-yr programs and supply them with laptops, printers, and all other supplies that they need….plus travel money to go to and from school.

I want to give a big shout out to our family and friends who supported our mission and gave their time and also to all of you who showed up to the event. I also want to thank my web designer, Phil Crandlemire and Temple Academy for allowing us to use the school! Everyone was so helpful. We couldn’t have done it without you!
